Supporting the design of UAL's Alumni Sustainability Network 

UAL is a world leading school for Art and Design, made up of 6 equally renowned Colleges. Their volunteer-led alumni associations enable communities to thrive after graduation. We were asked to help them to establish their Alumni Sustainability Association, by designing and facilitating focus groups for both UK/Europe and International alumni.

Where definitions of sustainability are broad and personal, our goal was to establish a framework for this diverse community to come together and the structure through which they could do so. Intentionality and purpose were key, so we created a safe online space where people could connect deeply to themselves and each other throughout the process. The workshops were highly interactive and creative, with cycles of meditation, free-writing, and breakout room sessions, enabling rich conversation and connection.
